As you’ll have gathered if you’re a regular reader of the blog, one of the things I love most about Leeds is all the fantastic places you can go for food. Not only is there a high volume of cafes, restaurants and bars, but there’s also a really varied option depending on what kind of cuisine you’re in the mood for, whether you want something simple or fancy, quick or leisurely, and what your budget is.
If you haven’t been to many of Leeds’ brilliant restaurants and eateries, you’ve got a good opportunity coming up to try some out as “Eat Leeds Week” is taking place from Monday 14 to Sunday 20 August.
Developed by Leeds Business Improvement District, the week will feature discounts from around 70 of Leeds’ food venues – both old favourites and new establishments. The restaurants taking part have developed two and three course menus for either £10 or £15 per person, giving you the chance to try lots of tasty dishes. You can search on the website by deal or cuisine; there’s plenty there to whet your appetite.

Bundobust delights
A few of my favourite restaurants that I’ve already blogged about, such as Bundobust, Iberica, Red’s True BBQ and Smoke Barbecue, are taking part. There are also plenty of places I’ve been meaning to visit on the list, like Blackhouse and The Cat’s Pyjamas, as well as some fairly new establishments like CAU and Issho, and places I used to love but haven’t been to in ages such as Chino Latino, so I hope to be able to try a few of them.
For updates and photos to make you hungry, you can follow Eat Leeds Week on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Let me know if you end up trying somewhere new that you’d recommend!
